School Cooks – Substitute Cooks
St. Anthony Grade School is seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our kitchen staff. We are seeking to increase the amount of Kitchen Staff Substitutes, but who are also willing and able to assist with high lunch count days.
Job Description
As a substitute kitchen staff member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school’s food service program. Our hot lunch program serves over 450 meals daily. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving meals to students and staff
- Assisting with food preparation, such as chopping, slicing, and mixing ingredients
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Following established recipes and portion control standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive and friendly demeanor
Hours
Hours are 11:00 am – 2:00 pm and follows the school schedule from August through May. Specific hours may vary based on school calendar and operational needs.
